This project focused on developing fundamental skills in CAD and BIM, using the software programs AutoCAD and Revit. The assignment was to choose a house model from A-hus.se and recreate it, starting with drawing the floor plan and exterior elevations in AutoCAD. These drawings were then imported into Revit, where we transformed the 2D plans into a 3D model.
In Revit, we also learned how to furnish the interior, apply materials to walls, floors, and roofs, as well as generating various technical drawings and rendered images. Initially, I was unsure about how I would feel about this course, but it turned out to be a surprisingly enjoyable and rewarding experience.
