This assignment was to create attractive accurate images based on the drawings from Alingsås Huspaket and place the house somewhere in Sweden. We were given artistic freedom in terms of lighting and materials, allowing us to create unique images. The timeframe for this project was three weeks. It was built in 3ds Max, rendered with V-Ray, and finalized with post-production in Photoshop.
Prior to this project, we were introduced to additional tools within the 3D workflow to better prepare us for our upcoming internships this autumn. We gained hands-on experience with V-Ray, Rail Clone, and Forest Pack.
As shown in the GIF, I experimented with various types of grass, layering it with clover and testing different tree models. I also attempted to incorporate Forest Ivy—though, unfortunately we didn't end up becoming best friends as I wished for, maybe another time..
Conclusion - it was an interesting project and I learned a lot.
These two images above represent the first version of this project. After submitting the initial version, I decided to redo certain elements—such as changing the roof and adjusting some of the colors and materials from the original design. The final result features a grey metal roof with white accents on the house. etc
This was an angle I ultimately didn’t include in the final presentation, but I decided to share a breakdown of it anyway for reference.

I also took the opportunity to furnish the kitchen, as it is visible from the outside. It was enjoyable to create an additional image with an interior perspective, especially since the main focus of the project was on exterior visuals.

Not gonna lie - I'm getting a bit dizzy from these GIF's now..

I hope you're not dizzy!
